Six Kinds of Giving

John 3: 16  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

In the above verse, which is one of most powerful and certainly well-known verses in the Bible, we are told that God is a giver! Because He is the greatest giver, He will give us the grace we need when we are called upon to give.

Jack Hayford “Learning and applying the Key to Everything involves the growing of a heart attitude in giving, which gives the right thing at the right time in the right way and for the right reasons.”

There are times to:
1. Give up—this is the giving up of our self righteousness. It is the surrender of what is wrong in us to receive what God wants to make right in us.

2. Forgive–the releasing of grudges, anger, pain, or internalized stress over real or perceived injustices.

3. Give over–this is the placing of things that concern us into the hands of God which only His might and justice can handle.

4. Give to–providing with generosity in assisting the circumstance of another human being or group.

5. Give in–just saying “yes” to the things that God is telling you to do in the area of giving. You will be blessed.

6. Give away— understanding that the reciprocal laws of God are in effect. God promises to give to us when we give for His purposes.

Humanly speaking we have been taught that when we give something that means we have less than we had before we gave.

To give everything means that we have nothing left. This is what Jesus did. but through his sacrificial gift, we now have access to all things.

God’s principle is for us to give away what we need and then supernaturally we will experience the provision of whatever we need to do His will.

As a man sows so shall he also reap!
