These outlines are put together with the hope that people who are facing grief will be comforted by God’s grace.

Here is an extra freebie outline just for my Monday Morning subscribers:

WHEN GOD SAYS, "KEEP TALKING!"

Take the following outline and use it to encourage others. Also, I had you pastors in mind, when I prepared it, so you be encouraged as well.

Acts 18: 9 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” 11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.(NKJV)

 1. A REASSURING WORD FROM GOD
Often in threatening circumstances we begin to question whether or not we are doing the right thing. When we are in the right place doing the right thing, God will often confirm what we are doing in order to encourage us forward. He desires for us to know His will much more than we want to know it. This is key to understand. God wants to direct our lives. We must learn to listen, watch, and be sensitive to the ways the Holy Spirit speaks to us.

Ways He Sometimes Speaks:
A. Vision (v9)
B. Dream
C. Scripture
D. Others (Sometimes God may speak through what someone else has seen or said. This is what we want to happen when we preach)

2. WHEN GOD SAYS SPEAK, YOU SHOULD SPEAK (v9)
We all know the problem of speaking when we should not, but there is also lost opportunity when we fail to speak when God says to speak. I encourage you not to make it too much about yourself, when you feel the Lord wanting you share something. "What will they think?"  "What if I am wrong?"  Learn to trust that God knows what someone needs to hear even if it makes no sense to you. It is amazing how He can use you, if you will allow Him to speak through you.

3. DO NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY’S VOICE TO SILENCE YOUR VOICE (v10)
Paul was being attacked by voices that the enemy was using. In hearing God’s voice in the middle of all of this, he received the promise of Divine protection. This gave him confidence that God was up to something and would take care of him. It is often our fear, that shuts us down from being a voice for God.

4. REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT ALONE (v10)
The Lord promised Paul of His presence with him, but also let Paul know that there were many other people in the city that belonged to Him. Another reassurance in our life comes when we realize we are not alone. I have found through the years, that one of the enemy’s chief weapons is to make us feel all alone, forsaken and abandoned. Moses, Elijah, Paul and others had to deal with this– more than likely you have too as well.

5. EXPECT GOD TO BLESS THE MINISTRY OF HIS WORD THROUGH YOUR LIFE (v11)
Paul had a fruitful ministry by heeding God’s reassuring Word to him. You can too!
