HE WILL GIVE YOU GRACE — funeral sermon

By

The following contains one of the greatest Bible comfort verses for those who are in a time of grief.

2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 . . . "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."  (NKJV)

1. God’s Grace is Sufficient for Us

(If the person who died was a believer) Share their testimony of how God’s Grace was sufficient to save them,
-to help them live for Christ,
-and that it was powerful enough to take him/her all the way to heaven.

Paul spent a lot of time in prision, he was severely persecuted, he struggled like we do. But he learned about God’s grace in his time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

-Sufficient means it will always be enough for whatever we face.
-We never have to experience a shortage of grace.
-In this time when you feel you cannot make, remember — with God’s grace you can.

2. God’s Strength is Available for Our Weakness

-It is in the very area of our deficit that we experience His surplus.
-When we are weak, He promises us to give us His strength.
-It is important to remember this in the days ahead when those waves of grief wash in upon you and you feel absolutely overwhelmed.
-Remember His strength is for YOUR weakness. He knows we are weak and cares when we struggle. His response–a gift of His strength. In the middle of your loss there is something you can gain — the strength of God for your weakness.

3. God’s Work will Be Completed in Us (Made perfect)
-In the time of grief we feel so distracted. We call it "coming apart.’"
-But God will put your future together in a way to fulfill His purposes.
-He gives His grace to that end

-(The person being honored) has now been made perfect because of the wonderful grace of God recieved

theorugh Christ.
-Life only makes sense when you realize there is a God in Heaven Who really is in charge and working all things

together for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
-It is grace that comes to us to work it together for good.

-God gives us grace to live by and grace to die by.

  1. I find this site to be a reliable back up source for pastors who are busy serving throughout the week. I hope the same pastors will only get help here, not alternative sermons that will drive the lazy and empty tins.
I feel like the sermons that I read and copied were preachings to me.
    I appreciate.
    Thank you very much.
